2026

Bigger reflections the last few days as the new year has turned. Looking back and looking forward; looking up at the sky walking down the street. 

This past year, the people I met and the interactions that took place make me feel boundless. Like where’d my boundaries go?

Failure and perservearance – however trite – pulled me high than low and showed me that the only thing you can do is witness the seasons change and keep the sights set high. The intention is what matters.

All expectations were re-defined and an entirely new feeling of what life could be entered my consciousness in confidence. I cried a lot. Tried to tell the people around me what this means to me, but realized that to pursue my explanation lingusitically was to potentially diminish it.

I began to practice subtley and than reverence in a world where these things don’t have much place. Many times I felt reactionary due to the narrative I was telling myself; when the plot flipped or thickened.

Though, I continue to see through the guise: desire to keep up with the buzz is not meaningful. The body tells us this through feeling, and intuitively encourages us to re-embark on the never-ending journey of letting go of what we’re supposed to be.

Maybe this is the year that we surrender: 

surrender to the gaze; surrender to the body; surrender to the mind; to what is true and everytime we say something that isn’t. Surrender to not knowing; surrender to responsiblity; surrender to rebellion and youth; to moments in the limelight and the darkest shadow.
